As a wedding photographer, one of my favorite things is the Engagement Session. The engagement session is a time where my couples and I get to know one another before the big day. It is a special time to capture the love between the two of them, before they take their vows. Vanna and Ryans Chico engagement session was a dream. I just love this location for a Chico engagement session, because there are so many different areas in the park, that give you a different feel or look to your images that give you a huge variety.
I first met Vanna and Ryan over zoom when they were looking for a wedding photographer that fit their vision. Vanna feel in love with my light and airy look. I was so excited Vanna wanted me to be their wedding photographer. When deciding on a location for the engagement session we choose Upper Park. Vanna and Ryan wanted spring engagement images, and Upper Park is super green this time of year, making it a dreamy location and perfect to capture your love. Arriving at the session Vanna and Ryan were dressed to impress and the day was perfect. The two of them were so easy to talk with and it was great taking the time to get to know each of them. I think we may have spent an equal amount of time talking as we did taking pictures. I love making my couples friends, rather than just being their wedding photographer.
Vanna and Ryan first met while they were both receiving their teaching credentials at Chico State. Vanna thought Ryan was one of the cutest guys in her class and couldn’t help but glance in his direction every now and then. One time Ryan caught her glancing in his direction and Vanna felt super awkward. Isn’t this already the cutest first moments of meeting. It’s like it came out of a fairytale. After a few more glances were exchanged, Ryan asked Vanna out. From there, Vanna and Ryan’s love blossomed and Ryan proposed at a family barbecue. Now this wasn’t Ryans first plan, but due to circumstances plans had to change, and it was just as beautiful of a moment for the two of them. They are perfect for one another in every way. From being able to lift each other up when one of them in feeling down or has had a hard day to enjoying all the activities they love doing.
