Sarah and I first met when she responded to a Model Call. At the time I was trying to grow my portfolio. She was so sweat and kind I couldn’t wait to work with her. With participation in my Model Call, I choose the location and she agreed to follow my style guide. Sarah’s sunset maternity session took place at Upper Bidwell Park. With all of my sessions I photograph them within the two hours of sunset as that is when the light is the most dreamiest and softest in the sky. It creates a beautiful glow to my clients images.
Sarah was such a kind person to work with and so patient as she was one of my first sessions. Offering model calls to get the chance to meet other people. It was a great way to branch out and not only photograph family and friends. I felt this was the easiest way to meet new people and get the jitters of not knowing who my clients, may be. I have learned that I am nervous every time I meet with a client no matter how many times I do a session. Something about it makes it exciting and they are always different. Not every session is the same and they are all different.
As one of my first clients I couldn’t of worked with anyone better. Sarah’s sunset maternity session was a dream and looked so cute during this session. It was a honor that I was able to be a part of of this journey and capture these beautiful moments that she will have to cherish for years to come. Being able to capture beautiful images for my clients is the best thing about being a photographer. It is what makes me want to continue and grow in this art. I continue to practice every chance I get so I can continue to improve and produce images that my clients can cherish for years and pass down!
