This rose garden engagement session was as amazing as it looks. It was my first time photographing in this area, but it has a lot of different spaces for variety. You have the rose garden, cacti, and the capitol buildings. Janet and Matt live in North Carolina, but flew home to finalize some wedding plans and see family. They are getting married in Fairfield, California later this year.
Janet and Matt tried to fit as much as they could into the trip. I was so glad we were able to fit in their engagement session during this time. Janet was a trooper. She hurt her foot a couple days earlier and was limping to the session. We modified certain poses, but she still looked as elegant as ever. Janet told she had a session earlier on, shortly after she was engaged and wanted to have some pictures with the roses closer to where they live, but the roses were no longer in bloom. I was happy they were still in full bloom during their session to provide them with more beautiful images.
The two of them were naturals at their session. It was like they were pros. The lighting couldn’t have been more perfect. Janet had a blast when I had Matt dip her. They explained they used to do some dancing and she loved to do the dip. You could tell it was one of Janet’s favorites. I can’t wait to capture their big day later this year. They are the first wedding I get to capture both memories for them on Friday and Saturday. I have the honor of capturing a special ceremony called the paebaek ceremony. Learning more about others cultures is always fascinating and being a part of different ceremonies that mean a lot to them is one of the most exciting things about my job.
Check out more about sessions here, or more about booking your wedding experience with me here! I would love to work with you.
