This past Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Theresa and Josh’s Almendra Winery Wedding in Durham, California. They had to change wedding plans multiple times, like many others due to COVID. With the smoke rolling in from the fires around us, didn’t help any stress levels, but luckily we were able to complete the wedding ceremony and reception in doors. We were however able to sneak outside for a few pictures. I am always a sucker for vineyard weddings. There is something magical about taking photos in the vineyard. We weren’t able to get the really dreamy sunset photos due to it being smoky, but they were still romantic.

Theresa and Josh had a small wedding with close family and friends. They have to be one of the most relaxed couple I have photographed on their wedding day. There was something about the relief of it finally being here and coming together. At least they didn’t seem stressed to me.

You had me at pizza

When thinking of a food menu for weddings, I typically resort to tri-tip, chicken, salad and other sides. This is a very popular menu that I have had at almost every wedding i’ve photographed, as well as my own. This Almendra Winery Wedding had PIZZA!! You read that correctly. I mean if you know me I love pizza, it is one of my favorites, so when they told me that is what they were having I was so excited.
