When you think of your family session what do you think of? Clients are always asked to think outside the box or have it at a location that means something to them OR I can give them a list of locations. This country family session took place on the Pearson family property. This property is special to this family. It’s not only family owned where they have a cabin they can stay in, but it was also the same location they had their engagement session done, and their first pregnancy pictures done.

I met Johanna in college and stood by her on her wedding day. I have watched her family grow and watch her have two beautiful children. I am so happy to be a part of their lives and capture special moments like this. Johanna dressed her family to impress. The colors were perfect and complimented the glow of golden hour.

During the beginning of the session Josie wasn’t having it and didn’t want to be a part of the pictures. I always tell parents it is ok. We will still capture this time and you will be able to show them later how they behaved during you session. McCoy on the other hand gave me looks like he was up to no good. I don’t think Johanna and I could stop laughing about it. By the end of the session we were all happy campers and we went on our way.

It’s all about the location for this country family session

It is always great when you can choose locations that mean something to you. I am always happy to give location ideas, but having a special location, makes your session even more meaningful.
