While in Nashville, Tennessee last week, I wanted to do a session while we were there. I had the pleasure of shooting the Elliott family at the Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee. This park is beautiful. I loved the old farm building look and the area of the park. The farm used to be private property, but it became a park a few years ago. This park is massive. There are multiple buildings, a lake for catch and release, a dog park and more!! I mean Derek and I could have spent a couple hours waking the park, but we didn’t have that time.

Elliott Family

I had the pleasure of shooting the Elliott Family at the Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee on the first Monday we were in Nashville. They were so much fun and the kids were adorable. They came dressed and ready to conquer these family pictures. The little girl is at the age where one minute we are going to be happy and the next we will cry. But I told them it was ok and this is just the season of life she is in. It is best to still capture these moments and document it for later in life.

This family has a wonderful tradition. When they have a girl they have a dress that has been passed down for generations. I mean how cute is that. I think this is a wonderful tradition to pass down and capture with each generation. This is something that is so special to look back on years down the road. The dress was so delicate, but it was so beautiful. Check out the cute blue dress this little girl was able to wear in addition to her strawberry dress.

I reassure all my clients that it is ok. Especially when you have a child that may not want to sit still. I am good at capturing the children on the go. You will get better pictures of them playing and interacting and they will be happy. You can always bride your little one with a gummy or a favorite treat for a picture or two, but non posed pictures turn out just as cute. I hope to capture this family again some day, because they were the sweetest and I just loved working with them.
